Liujiyi ZUo

Liujiyi Zuo is a filmmaker working between documentary, experimental cinema, and essay film. His work explores history, myth, and perception through archival research, speculative narratives, and site-specific filmmaking across global landscapes.

He is a graduate of NYU Tisch School of the Arts, where he studied film, and later held a documentary film fellowship at Harvard University. His films and screenplays have received international recognition, including awards and selections at IFFBoston, Vision du Réel, and the First Film Festival (China).

Zuo writes, directs, shoots, and edits his films, with a particular focus on sound, voice, and the material afterlife of images.
